Build your official author presence on Amazon, Your books deserve a proper author home on Amazon Let's boost trust, visibility, and book sales with one profile to get discovered faster and look more credible
✅ You do not need a separate “author login” your regular Amazon account works.
Enter your Author Name (exactly as it appears on your book)
You’ll be asked for your author name.
Type your author name exactly as it appears on your book’s Amazon listing
(example: “R. R. Smith” not “RR Smith” if that’s how your book displays)
Then click: ➡️ Continue
Find the section called Books
Click Add a book
Search using one of these:
Book title
ISBN (paperback/hardcover)
ASIN (Kindle/Amazon listing code)
Your author name
Select your book from the results
Click Add this book
Add / Claim your book(s)
This is the most important part. If you have multiple formats (Kindle + paperback), add them all.
Request verification (if Amazon asks)
Sometimes Amazon approves instantly. Other times, it may ask you to verify you are the author.
Follow the on-screen instructions
Amazon may confirm via:
Publisher details
Email confirmation
Ownership verification
✅ Once approved, your author profile becomes editable and public.
Add your author photo (recommended)
Add your author bio
Go to Profile
Find Biography
Fill your bio (professional + genre-focused)
Click Save / Publish
✅ Best practice: mention your genre + what readers can expect.
Confirm your Author Page is live
To check:
Go to one of your books on Amazon
Click your author name under the book title
Your author page should open with:
Photo
Bio
Books list
