Create a BookBub Author Page
Why a BookBub Author Profile Matters
Help readers find a clearer author profile
A BookBub Author Profile gives readers a central place to see your author bio, profile image, and eligible ebooks listed on BookBub.
Manage the details BookBub lets authors update
After BookBub approves your claim, you can update your author bio, profile picture, eligible ebooks, book details, and available book links through the Partner Dashboard.
Understand how follower alerts work
For eligible new ebooks, BookBub may send New Release Alerts to readers who follow the author on BookBub. BookBub says the ebook must be added to the Author Profile before, on, or up to seven days after release, and New Release Alerts are currently sent to U.S. members.
Check whether preorder tools apply to your profile
BookBub Preorder Alerts are available only when an author meets BookBub’s current eligibility requirements, including at least 1,000 total followers. If eligible, partners can schedule alerts before release within BookBub’s stated timing rules.
Keep your public BookBub details accurate
A claimed, well-maintained profile helps keep your public author details, eligible ebooks, and book links clearer for readers who visit your BookBub page.
Before You Start
Before you begin, check whether your book is eligible for a BookBub Author Profile.
BookBub currently says Author Profile claims are limited to authors with ebooks published on supported U.S. retailers: Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Google, or Kobo. Prepare your author name, the email address you want to use for the Partner Dashboard, your ebook title, ASIN or ISBN if available, and the retailer links where the ebook is listed.
New to BookBub? Here’s How to Make an Account
First, go to the official BookBub Partners sign-up page.
Create your account with an email address and password, then complete the sign-up form. Choose Author as your partner type. If you later do not see the option to manage or claim an Author Profile, BookBub says to check My Account in the Dashboard and make sure your partner type is set to Author.
Finish the signup and log in to the Partner Dashboard
Author Setup
- In the Partner Dashboard, look for the option to Claim an Author Profile.
- Search for your author name and submit the claim through the dashboard.
- BookBub manually reviews each claim to check author identity and accuracy. BookBub says approval may take up to seven days.
- Multiple pen names: Use a separate email / Partner Dashboard account for each author name to manage each Author Profile.
- If you’re waiting longer than a week after a claim, BookBub recommends contacting their team.
Important limitation: BookBub currently says only authors with ebooks published on BookBub’s supported U.S. retailers Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Google, or Kobo can claim Author Profiles.
BookBub Author Profiles are not the same as general author pages on every retailer. BookBub says it can only list ebooks on its website, and its current Author Profile guidance is tied to ebooks available through supported U.S. retailers. If you use multiple pen names, BookBub says each additional author name needs a separate Partner Dashboard account with a separate email address.
Complete your profile (after approval)
- Once approved, you can add a photo, bio, and edit your book data.
- If an eligible ebook is missing, use Add Book and search by title, author name, ASIN, or ISBN. BookBub says it can only list ebooks on its website.

Review your eligible ebooks and book details
Check that each eligible ebook has the correct cover, description, author name, genre information, and retailer links where BookBub allows those details to be updated or requested.
Review reader-facing signals carefully
Review the public details readers see first: author bio, profile image, eligible ebooks, genre choices, book descriptions, covers, and retailer links. Keep changes accurate, relevant, and consistent with the book’s public records.
Polish the visible book and profile details
Double-check the author name, eligible ebook listings, cover, description, genres, and retailer links. The goal is to make the public BookBub record clearer and more accurate for readers.
